How we verify a tub is in the room·The same figure for every city and state
November to March is when a private tub in Story City is the reason to book rather than a nice extra — January nights average 11°F and the average high stays at or below 60°F. At the other end, by July the average high is 84°F, which is patio weather rather than hot-tub weather. Figures are NOAA 1991–2020 normals from AMES MUNI AP, IA US, 22km away.

Across the 12 verified stays here, listed rates run $57–$128 a night before tax and cluster near $90. Super 8 by Wyndham Webster City IA is the lowest we've confirmed, at $57. The bottom of that range is a standard room with a jetted bath; the top is a suite built around the tub.
Iowa House, at 9.3/10 from 135 guest reviews. AmericInn by Wyndham Webster City follows at 8.8 from 203 reviews. Our list puts private tubs (in the room or on a private patio) first, then shared hotel spas. Within each group, hotels with strong scores from many guests, more photos, and a tub we've seen in their own photos rank higher. Listings with very few reviews or photos sit at the bottom of their group.
11 of the 12 stays we list in Story City, IA are tagged in-room jacuzzi or jetted tub. 3 are shared hotel spas — labelled that way, never sold as in-room. Another 1 listing here didn't survive the photo check.
Super 8, Radisson, Wyndham and Days Inn all have verified tub rooms in Story City. The other 2 are independents.
3 of the 12 verified stays in Story City, IA have a jetted whirlpool tub in the room, and 8 more have another kind of private in-room tub. "Whirlpool", "jacuzzi" and "jetted tub" all describe the same thing — a tub with jets — so hotels use them interchangeably. What they don't tell you is whether it's a jetted tub or a plain deep soaking tub with no jets at all, which is the distinction we check and label.
Most of these stays also include free parking and free Wi-Fi. Every listing shows its own amenity set.
