What we still get wrong

Published because a method with no stated limits is not a method. These are counted the same way everything above is.

The photos are not ours. They come from the hotel, from booking platforms, or from Google Places. We check them; we did not take them. Nothing on this site should be read as us having visited.
496 listings have a lead photo our own image audit says shows no tub. Usually that means the tub is in a different photo, or in none of the ones we hold — not that the tub is absent. We compute the signal and have not yet acted on all of it.
40 listings have photo evidence that contradicts itself. The same photograph reaches us from two platforms, gets assessed twice, and the two assessments disagree about whether the tub is private or shared. Those are queued for review and we would rather say so than quietly pick the flattering reading.
203listings rest on a guest review or the hotel’s own prose. That is the weakest evidence we publish. It is enough to list a hotel and not enough to promise you a tub, which is why those listings say so.
Coverage is uneven by city. Some cities are near-fully photo-confirmed and others are mostly on the hotel’s word. Each city page prints its own figure rather than this national one.

No, and we do not claim that. 922 of 2,033 in-room listings show the tub in a photo on this site. The rest rest on weaker evidence, and every listing states which tier it is on.

Are the photos yours?

No. They come from the hotel's own listing, from booking platforms, or from Google Places. We check them; we did not take them. Where the only copy we hold carries another site's watermark we say the tub is confirmed and show no photo, rather than republish someone else's image.

What is the difference between a jacuzzi, a whirlpool and a hot tub?

For marketing purposes, nothing — hotels use the words interchangeably for a tub with jets. What matters is where it is: in your room, on your own private patio, or shared with every other guest. That distinction is what we label, because it is the one that gets misread when you book.

How often is this checked?

Evidence is recorded per listing when it is added and re-checked when a hotel's photos or room list change. The counts on this page are computed from the live catalogue each time the page is built, so they move as the catalogue does.
