How we verify a tub is in the room·The same figure for every city and state
October to April is when a private tub in Port Townsend is the reason to book rather than a nice extra — December nights average 38°F and the average high stays at or below 60°F. December is also the wettest month at 2.6 inches, which makes the case twice. At the other end, by July the average high is 73°F, which is patio weather rather than hot-tub weather. Anchorage Inn, at 9.8/10 from 768 guest reviews. Saratoga Inn follows at 9.6 from 530 reviews. Our list puts private tubs (in the room or on a private patio) first, then shared hotel spas. Within each group, hotels with strong scores from many guests, more photos, and a tub we've seen in their own photos rank higher. Listings with very few reviews or photos sit at the bottom of their group.

Mostly independents — 14 of the 14 verified stays here aren't part of a national chain.
2 of the Port Townsend stays here have a tub on a private deck, patio or balcony rather than a shared one. Filter to "Private patio tub" to see just those.
4 of the 14 verified stays in Port Townsend, WA have a jetted whirlpool tub in the room, and 6 more have another kind of private in-room tub. "Whirlpool", "jacuzzi" and "jetted tub" all describe the same thing — a tub with jets — so hotels use them interchangeably. What they don't tell you is whether it's a jetted tub or a plain deep soaking tub with no jets at all, which is the distinction we check and label.
