How we verify a tub is in the room·The same figure for every city and state
December to January is when a private tub in Pacific Grove is the reason to book rather than a nice extra — December nights average 44°F and the average high stays at or below 60°F. January is also the wettest month at 4.3 inches, which makes the case twice. At the other end, by September the average high is 71°F, which is patio weather rather than hot-tub weather. How the 20 most-visited spots within 15km of our Pacific Grove listings break down by type.
Across the 40 verified stays here, listed rates run $45–$482 a night before tax and cluster near $160. The Fremont Inn is the lowest we've confirmed, at $45. The bottom of that range is a standard room with a jetted bath; the top is a suite built around the tub.
The Jabberwock Inn, at 9.8/10 from 976 guest reviews. Old Monterey Inn follows at 9.4 from 693 reviews. Our list puts private tubs (in the room or on a private patio) first, then shared hotel spas. Within each group, hotels with strong scores from many guests, more photos, and a tub we've seen in their own photos rank higher. Listings with very few reviews or photos sit at the bottom of their group.
34 of the 40 stays we list in Pacific Grove, CA are tagged in-room jacuzzi or jetted tub. 2 have a private outdoor tub on a patio or balcony. 8 are shared hotel spas — labelled that way, never sold as in-room. Another 1 listing here didn't survive the photo check.
Best Western, Country Inn, Days Inn and Fairfield all have verified tub rooms in Pacific Grove. The other 34 are independents.
2 of the Pacific Grove stays here have a tub on a private deck, patio or balcony rather than a shared one. Filter to "Private patio tub" to see just those.
4 of the 40 verified stays in Pacific Grove, CA have a jetted whirlpool tub in the room, and 30 more have another kind of private in-room tub. "Whirlpool", "jacuzzi" and "jetted tub" all describe the same thing — a tub with jets — so hotels use them interchangeably. What they don't tell you is whether it's a jetted tub or a plain deep soaking tub with no jets at all, which is the distinction we check and label.
