How we verify a tub is in the room·The same figure for every city and state
Across the 24 verified stays here, listed rates run $45–$2867 a night before tax and cluster near $173. The Fremont Inn is the lowest we've confirmed, at $45. The bottom of that range is a standard room with a jetted bath; the top is a suite built around the tub.
The Jabberwock Inn, at 9.8/10 from 976 guest reviews. Old Monterey Inn follows at 9.4 from 693 reviews. Our list puts private tubs (in the room or on a private patio) first, then shared hotel spas. Within each group, hotels with strong scores from many guests, more photos, and a tub we've seen in their own photos rank higher. Listings with very few reviews or photos sit at the bottom of their group.
20 of the 24 stays we list in Big Sur, CA are tagged in-room jacuzzi or jetted tub. 2 have a private outdoor tub on a patio or balcony. 6 are shared hotel spas — labelled that way, never sold as in-room. Another 1 listing here didn't survive the photo check.
Country Inn, Days Inn and Red Roof all have verified tub rooms in Big Sur. The other 21 are independents.
2 of the Big Sur stays here have a tub on a private deck, patio or balcony rather than a shared one. Filter to "Private patio tub" to see just those.
3 of the 24 verified stays in Big Sur, CA have a jetted whirlpool tub in the room, and 17 more have another kind of private in-room tub. "Whirlpool", "jacuzzi" and "jetted tub" all describe the same thing — a tub with jets — so hotels use them interchangeably. What they don't tell you is whether it's a jetted tub or a plain deep soaking tub with no jets at all, which is the distinction we check and label.
