The bluffs above Hanalei Bay give way to Hideaways and Queen's Bath, where swimmers pick through lava rock at low tide. St. Regis golf course spreads across the plateau, and the drive down to Hanalei town crosses one-lane bridges through taro fields backed by the Napali cliffs. Princeville, HI is a short list: 3 stays where the tub is confirmed from photos, from $483 a night. Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa and Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection are neck and neck on guest scores, 9.2 against 9.2. Expect around $630 a night, up to $871.
Princeville never drops below a 77°F average high, so a private tub here is a year-round comfort rather than a seasonal one — there is no month you would book it *because* of the weather. What does move is rain: March averages 8.3 inches, and an in-room tub beats a hotel pool on a wet evening.
