Green Mountain Inn

A lovely inn experience, while brief, that provided a bit of respite from the unusual heat as well as the day-to-day. I stayed at the Inn as a local person and had the pleasure of staying in a comfortable room that was quiet and plush. The staff were lovely and always helpful. The facilities, including the pool, were also decent and well-used. The prices for the morning breakfast were outrageous but given that the Inn is also a "resort," the prices were in line with this expectation. I decided to eat on the main street in a small café instead. But I am sure the breakfast and meals downstairs are pricey and lovely nonetheless.

The “old time” feel. How the pool are was away from all the hub-bub. Being right in the village of Stowe. Layout was confusing when we tried to find parking and our room. It would have been helpful to have a sign at the pool bar itself that mentioned you could not order food after 6:00. It was awkward having to go through the gym to get to the restrooms from the pool.

The room had a little sunroom that looked out on to main street. A perfect place to get emails done after a long day rather than starring at the wall. The restaurant was a mix of travelers and locals that were friendly and the staff genuinely cared for each other. The mattress was uncomfortable, and there was no central air- just a window a/c unit.
