Michael, the owner and host, is a former culinary student and pastry chef who makes a great breakfast that includes variety of locally sourced egg dishes with light and tasty scones and fresh fruit. He is very knowledgeable about the area and can make excellent recommendations for farmer's markets, antiques, etc., and also sells $10 passes for nearby public beaches. The B&B is very quaint and comfortable - our Garden room was a good size with a newly renovated bathroom - and has nice common areas with coffee, tea, books, DVDs. The B&B is unbelievably close (1 minute walk) to downtown Madison w Only negative was a loose towel hook in the bathroom, which Michael had been meaning to fix. In an ideal world, the outlets in the room would have been a little easier to reach, especially next to the bed.

We stayed with Mike in the dead of winter. Mike was everything from wonderful and accommodating chef (don’t miss the delicious breakfast!) to cleaning service, to handyman. Mike invites you into his establishment as if you were old friends. All rooms were beautiful but not necessarily open for business. Meaning..drew you in. Appeared seasonal and some public areas were under repair. Completely understanding given the sparse clientele and available assistance that time of year.

The inn far exceeded any expectations. Michael was cordial and attentive, his breakfasts were 5 star. The room was very comfortable and as a bonus, we slept extremely well. The grounds are beautiful and the location is ideal, just a short walk to an interesting little town. We can’t think of anything that would have improved our stay.

The freshly cooked breakfasts were excellent. Particularly loved the raspberry scones and the frittata was one of the best I ever ate. The different seating areas outside were a great place to relax. The location was perfect for the town centre and the coast

Historic charm, large suite like room with a porch right off the room that was shared with all guests, but we had it to ourselves the entire time. The breakfasts were delicious and we met some very nice people.
