Hot Tub Finder — Privacy Policy

The Hot Tub Finder extension does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. It has no server, no account system and no analytics.
What the extension does
When you open a hotel page on Expedia or Booking.com, the extension reads the review text already displayed on that page and looks for words such as “hot tub”, “jacuzzi” and “whirlpool”. Matches are highlighted and counted. All of this happens locally, inside your browser. The review text is never copied, uploaded or retained after you leave the page.
What is stored
Four on/off settings — whether scanning is enabled, whether matches are highlighted, whether plain “tub” matches are included, and whether the panel opens automatically. They are saved with Chrome’s storage API so they persist across your Chrome profile. They contain no personal information, and you can clear them at any time by removing the extension.

- Access to expedia.com and booking.com pages
- To read review text on the page and draw the highlights and panel. The extension requests no access to any other website, and does not run anywhere else.
What the extension never does
- Send your browsing history, page contents or search terms to any server.
- Read pages on sites other than Expedia and Booking.com.
- Collect names, email addresses, payment details or location.
- Use cookies, fingerprinting or third-party trackers.
- Modify prices, bookings, or the links you click through to book.
This website
Links in the extension point to hotelhottubs.com and carry a plain campaign tag so we can tell how many visits came from the extension. That tag identifies the extension, not you. Our site-wide policy is at hotelhottubs.com/privacy.
Changes and contact
