Find the hot tub mentions hiding in hotel reviews
A hotel’s amenity list will tell you there is a hot tub. It will not tell you whether it is in your room, shared with three hundred other guests, or closed for the season. Guests will. Hot Tub Finder reads the reviews on the Expedia or Booking.com page you are already looking at and highlights every mention of a hot tub, jacuzzi or whirlpool.

How it works

Open any hotel on Expedia or Booking.com
The extension only wakes up on those two sites. Everywhere else it stays completely inert.

It reads the reviews already on the page
Every review body is scanned for hot tub, hottub, jacuzzi, whirlpool, jetted tub and spa tub — plus the misspellings guests actually type.

Matches get highlighted and counted
A badge shows the count. Open it to read each mention in context, and click one to jump straight to that review.
What it does not do
- It does not send your browsing anywhere. There is no server, no account and no analytics in the extension.
- It does not change prices, inject affiliate links into your booking, or alter what Expedia and Booking.com show you.
- It does not claim a hotel has an in-room tub. It shows you what guests wrote and lets you judge — the verification work is on our own listings.
Questions
- Why does this need to exist?
- Hotels list “hot tub” as a facility when the tub is a shared one by the pool, or when it belongs to a spa that costs extra. Guests writing reviews are far more specific. Reading the reviews is the fastest way to find out what is actually in the room — this just does the reading for you.
- What is the difference between the strong and weak matches?
- “Hot tub”, “jacuzzi”, “whirlpool”, “jetted tub” and “spa tub” are counted as strong signals. A bare “tub” or “bathtub” is shown separately, because a review praising a deep soaking bath is a different thing from a review about a private jacuzzi. You can switch the weak matches off.
- Does it collect any of my data?
- No. Nothing is sent anywhere. The matching runs entirely in your browser, and the only thing stored is your four on/off preferences, kept in your own Chrome profile.
- Does it scan every review a hotel has?
- It scans the reviews currently rendered on the page. Both sites load reviews in batches, so on a large hotel you will want to use the “Load all reviews” button in the panel, then rescan. It reports how many reviews it actually read so the number is never misleading.
