I have been to many resorts/hotels in Door County and have been to the area every year for 40+years but have never stayed here. Often it is so hard to find a place for just one night but while we don't live far, we had an evening event and didn't want to drive home so late. Somerset was a perfect location and had a one night option. The room was bigger than anticipated and the pool/fire pit and outdoor area were great. I think it's a bit of a hidden gem. Not crowded, staff was pleasant and helpful too! That we couldn't stay another night and utilize the pool or firepit that was available.

This is a very nice, quaint and peaceful facility. Nice atmosphere and amenities. Lack of bedside nightstands and electrical outlets in the room. We had to go and purchase an extension cord and adapter to accommodate our needs. This is an easy fix and we were a little disapointed that in this age of cell phone chargers and trying to appeal to Seniors - many of whom use C-PAP machines - this hasn't been addressed.

I liked the deck to have coffee and I liked the privacy. I was surprised you didn’t have an elevator. Our room was on the second floor and we had to carry our luggage up stairs. We did book last minute. Usually we get 1st floor room. Good thing we’re in good shape we’re 85 and 79 years old.
