We were section hiking on the AT, so a good breakfast was important to us. The breakfast exceeded my expectations! Fresh food, hot choices as well as cold, and friendly service. My only complaint was someone must have mixed up the hot water for the tea and it had a coffee aftertaste, so I didn't drink it. The room while clean, had a bit of an odor, like sometime in the past someone had smoked in there. I am very sensitive to smoke, so most people probably would not even notice it.

Great location. The breakfast was good. The orange juice was watery. I was disappointed about the bed. The mattress was not comfortable. It was hard and had no "give" to it at all. It could have been better, maybe add a mattress topper for comfort.The chair in the room needed a cover. It had patches missing making it look junky.

Beds were comfortable and sheets were clean. Ac worked well. We really only slept here so it worked for what we needed. We had a few things broken or in general disrepair in our room. Lights were pretty dim, lamp was cracked, ceiling had open holes around the sprinkler head, shower squealed upon use.

Staff was very accommodating. We were not happy with the initial room and staff immediately helped us by putting us in a different room. Rooms are clean and smelled fresh. We did not have time to have the breakfast but it looked really extensive!

The location is convenient to Roanoke and Salem.The breakfast was ok. The beds were comfortable with clean linens. The rooms are a dated and the bathrooms have old fixtures, carpet is old, and room needed painting.
