Rudy was warm and inviting from the moment we set foot in the lobby. The restaurant dinner staff was good and so was the food. The room itself was beautiful and the location was great! Definitely come to this place with your family/friends for a little getaway and enjoy the Alamo and the Rivertown Mall! The only thing I was a little perturbed by was this homeless man who approached us from across the street, trying to convince us that parking is free if we parked to the parking lot next to ours. He then asked us if we had money for his meal. He tried this with several other guests trying to get their stuff together. It startled a few as he comes from out of nowhere. Definitely would need someone to guard the parking lot.

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The value of the hotel and We found areas to be overlooked when cleaning, especially under couches in the lobby and in our room. ** We found something very harmful in our room so either a previous guest or someone who entered to clean left it behind. On the first overnight we think the staff came in our room but did not remake the bed or leave extra towels. When we ordered in the bar it took 20 min to get water and 37min to get an order of fries. There was no pool on site and no where to use one at a sister company or partnering site. We wouldn't have booked if that were clear. Online it noted there was one on the 12th

I like that it was close to the river walk 💕 That the bath tubs are a little slippery. And there is no free breakfast and free parking. If all that was included it would have been the cherry on the ice cream to sum it up.

I have always wanted to stay at the Emily Morgan hotel. Very historic building right across from the Alamo. The beds are very comfortable. And the staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I especially enjoyed the huge bathtub.
