Location, location, location! Clear view of ocean if you book oceanfront 3rd floor. Comfortable size room, felt spacious. Good breakfast , thanks. Didn't like the minuscule coffee pot at all, its always nice to wake up and have a cup of coffee or tea before anything. (Leave tea bags) Upgrade the coffee pot. Scare toiletry amentities, enough said. Patio seating for the balcony is seriously uncomfortable, (it's sun worn plastic Adirondack chairs) for the price point upgrade the patio balcony as its a "location with balcony" overlooking the ocean, that is a big, big seller. Remove the stained, smelly scary looking loveseat, its extremely dated and its had better days. Just donate it. There for 2 nights, each night dealt with a faulty fire a

We had a wonderful stay at SureStay by Best Western Gold Beach. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the view was absolutely amazing. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, and the pool was a great bonus for our family. The only area that could use improvement is the patio. While the room itself was clean, the patio wasn't cleaned very well and would have been much more enjoyable if it had been maintained better. Overall, we had a great experience and would stay here again. A little more attention to the patio would make this hotel even better. Patio should be cleaned

It’s a good spot to stay if you’re on your way down or up the 101. It feels a bit outdated. Shower handle was a bit testy. TV is definitely outdated. Also room doesn’t have a ceiling fan or AC to get the musty smell out upon first opening of the room. Patio door wasn’t enough air to get the “vintage” smell cleared out but managed to sleep none the less. Carpet definitely needs to go. But the view was good and the room was relatively clean. Also extremely quiet atmosphere which is great.

Loved that we had a view of the ocean and could easily walk down to the beach. Also, easy to get to, right off of main hwy. Breakfast had a lot of options from eggs and potatoes to waffles, toast and fruit. A little rundown. Slider door and screen did not move easily. Broken tile on floor right in front of toilet and drippy shower faucet.

Staff was really nice and caring. I loved being close to the water, could see the ocean from the window. The short trail from hotel to the beach was really pretty. We love a good AC and this one just didn't work as well. The beds were on the older side, the room and property in general were old and could use an upgrade.
