The room was good sized, and it included a microwave as well as a small refrigerator. The hotel is a relatively short walk to the Capitol building and the Legislative Office Building. Around the corner from the hotel is a deli, a liquor store, and several restaurants. Up the block are more restaurants, while around the corner is the Albany arena. A walk under the highway overpass takes you to more restaurants, including a soul food restaurant that opened a couple of years ago. The hotel was fine. One issue is the availability of parking. My friend drove down from Utica and had to park on the street. She was expecting an indoor parking lot. Internet access and speed is always an issue with hotels. This one was no different. Slow and sometimes intermittent Internet service was an issue.

Nice downtown hotel in Albany, 4 blocks from the state capitol and museums (it's a steep uphill walk...the capitol is on a hill). Room was large with nice desk, lots of plugs, microwave/fridge/coffee maker, and a firm bed. The bathroom was huge and shower worked well. The staff was friendly and helpful, including saving my food when I forgot to empty the fridge. Closest parking is 2 blocks away for about $30 per day -- the walk to/from the garage can be a bit creepy at night. There is street parking if you want to deal with the meters. Lots of eateries and some shopping in the neighborhood. No problems.

Staff was really kind, rooms were clean . The rooma needed some maintenance. Little things like the curtain rod in the bathroom was pulled out of the tile wall at some point, and never fixed correctly. A handyman would be able to monitor and fix the room..
