location to Meatpacking District, West Village, High Line and Hudson riverside amenities Pool area a no go zone unless you book in advance and no priority availability for residents and we were advised that this area had been fully booked for weeks! From what we briefly saw, the pool deck is more of party deck and banging music from 1100 am to whenever it closes so not exactly somewhere to relax quietly. Our original booking was for a room with direct pool access room however our check-in clerk, Charles, asked us if we'd prefer a quieter room - we are slightly older than most guests - and he very kindly got us another room away from the pool deck which was much appreciated! Design. Location. Staff The lighting controls in the room were wacked to operate. Insane! Drapes didn’t cover full window. So light penetration. Shower curtain didn’t cover full shower stall. Why? That’s basic. Not at all enough counter or shelf space in bathroom for 2 people to have toiletries. You had to place on the floor or the desk in the bed area. Also inadequate towel or hooks or rods to hang towels for 2 people. The Handicap bars should not be the answer to use as towel bars. Hyatt should know better.

The personnel were very professional and very helpful. I stayed at the Dream Hotel on 16th St. a number of times in the past. Unfortunately, this time the Dream turned out to be a nightmare. Unfortunately, there was very little follow-through and my room wasn’t cleaned for three of the four days in my stay. Housekeeping did not follow up on my request with the front desk to remake my bed, clean up the room and bring new towels. I was very disappointed with the follow-through.

The location was fantastic. We loved exploring Chelsea and the meat packing district. The hotel is right by the subway and the high line which we loved. We didn’t realise kids couldn’t use the pool other than between 8 and 10am. That was a bit annoying.

Easy quick check inn staff was helpful. Love the bathroom The opening doors are beautiful for a restaurant. Not for trying to get luggage through with them. Especially when there’s no bellman.
