We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Jersey City Newport. The hotel is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. A mall with plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away, and the Newport PATH station is literally next door, which makes it incredibly easy and fast to reach Manhattan in just a few minutes. The staff was amazing and the location was perfect for our trip. The proximity to the PATH station was extremely convenient and several of the local restaurants were very good. Great place to stay for anyone who wants to be close to NYC but not pay NYC rates! For myself, the mattress in our room was a bit soft and perhaps worn out in the center, which ended up causing me a lot of pain in my lower back. And for some reason, the fitted sheet refused to stay on the mattress. Otherwise, our stay was excellent.
