I had a foot injury and the clerk made sure that I had a room close to the front door on the first floor. The breakfast was a little light, but the biscuits and gravy were well above average. Easy access from the interstate. Clean and comfy for the short time that I was there. A lounge that provided beer would have been nice, or someplace walkable nearby.

The place was “eat off the floor” clean and the bed among the most comfortable I’ve experienced. The desk clerk was quite friendly and knew the business well. It’s an older property and it shows in subtle ways. Old shower head, toilet, faucet and sink. These, however, in no way inhibited our stay.

The staff was friendly. The room was spacious and in a good location. The only complaint I have is that the room smelled strongly of ammonia, which I believe is what they used to clean it.

They were both great. The morning desk clerk could have used a shave and a friendlier attitude.
