The location is great. Many amenities on the property. There is a tram/shuttle that you can use to get around if you do not have a car. There were always staff members maintaining/cleaning the property. The rooms were dated. The sofa bed was super uncomfortable. At times we would find itty bitty bugs crawling on the bathroom floor/sink counter tops. The mini fridge in the room is only set to a temperature to cool drinks not cold enough to store left over food and there is no way to change that. That was quite disappointing. Microwaves are hard to get, but there is a common one to use by the ice machines. This was only told to us after many attempts in trying to secure one for the room. They supply beach towels, but you have to grab them when you see them as the run out quickly, but do not res

The concierges and bell hops were amazing! The pool and the view was probably the best part. We ended up spending a full day in the pool and relaxing. We stayed in Ocean Tower and it was easily a 20 minute walk from the parking lot just to check in. The tram is very old and run down and only goes to the tower before where we were staying because the track is being worked on. It was a very long walk to the pool, had to take long trails and go over bridges with a stroller. Probably would not stay here again. Restaurants were limited unless you wanted to drive to the shops down the street. Everything is VERY spread out. Bartenders at the pool were rude.

Convenient for the Lava Man triathlon. Limited guest services: vending machines, laundromat and ice machines were out of order on several floors. Restaurants were limited hours so quick food snack bars N/A Guests not informed of tram services was not working or when it would be back in service. No temporary signs where the pickup/drop off tram not in service. Front desk staff seem to be over worked. Very aggressive time share sales staff. Huge self contained complex, with multiple swimming pools, activities all on site. Great for families but as a couple not so. You could have been anywhere. It wasn't until we drove around the island and saw the other areas that you felt you were in Hawaii and if you're looking for an Hawaiian experience staying just in this hotel on the big island may not give you that.

Ok facilities The line was long and they took 20 minutes per customer to check in. Slowest check-in of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. No nearby parking and to have to wait long intervals for a crowded train to get to parking. The boat shuttles weren’t running either.

It’s always nice when we come. The tram did not take us all the way to ocean towers we were told the track was broken. Also there was only 1 tram working what’s happening with the other one??
