Nice decor, beyond the usual boring hotel design. Excellent location, short walking distance to downtown, Farmers' Market, all the stores, cafes, restaurants. Entrance to Arboretum walkway literally across the street from the hotel. Free parking. There is no breakfast offered but 24 hour coffee and tea and coffee in the lobby and Keurig coffeemaker in the room. Gym is tiny and no pool and there is basically no real lobby to hang out. Staff is friendly but a bit non chalant (UC Davis students?), room service knocked on our door at 6 am one morning although we had not asked for room service. Leaf blower in action super loudly at 8 am.

The location is great. It is right next to downtown Davis and very close to the UC Davis campus. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The building is also very cute. Overall a great stay! Not a whole lot to not like about this place! It is a fairly basic hotel for a decent price point -- there are no fancy amenities and the rooms are just basic hotel rooms with a bed and bath. For what you pay, it has everything you need.
